The second leg of the South African Kite Champs 2013 took place at Big Bay, Cape Town in South Africa.
Oswald Smith was crowned the king and surfed away with the tittle: First Place, SAKT Men Overall.
Colin Heckroodt took 2nd Place SAKT Men Overall.
Simone Swanepoel flew the female flag and was crowned the queen of kite and took the First Place in SAKT Ladies Overall.
Oswald Smith has already made his mark in the South Africa Kitesurfer’s scene and are for sure a promising star to track in future events.
This year was Simone Swanepoel’s first time to enter and she kicked off with a bang! Watch out for her in future kitting events.

Shark Release

I accompanied the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, South Africa on a Shark Release trip just off the coast at Gordon’s Bay, South Africa.
The Two Oceans Aquarium released two Ragged Tooth Sharks that was resident in their I&J Predator Exhibition at the Two Oceans Aquarium. I was incredibly fortunate to experience this Ragged Tooth Shark release first hand. I still have the tooth that was left behind in the transfer tank.
